SHREM'S FUTURE ANTHEMS: "ARABIAN HORSE" - Gus Gus [live at KEX Hostel] + Live in 1500m2, Warsaw in pictures

This 9 minutes long epic version of Gus Gus' "Arabian Horse" is like a mystical experience. Both Daníel Ágúst and Miss Earth deliver even more spectacular vocals on this live performance, if it was at all possible. Their 7th studio album has a pretty solid and undisrupted position as the best album in 2011 in my nerdy books. Please also flick through my rather amateurish but very dear to my heart pictures I took admiring them live in Warsaw a few weeks ago for the first time in my life.

SHREM'S GUILTIEST OF PLEASURES... VOL. 26: "DON QUICHOTTE" - Magazine 60 + "IPNOTICA" - Meccano

I've got two super-trashy 80's italo disco tracks for you today. One made in France, the other in Italy itself. Thought there wasn't enough kitsch on my carousel recently... This is beyond tacky but very enjoyable nonetheless. Here they are:

SHREM'S DOUBLE TROUBLE: "PRISONER OF LOVE" - Jessica 6 feat. Antony /// "SWAY" - Beni feat. Nomi Ruiz

It's been months since I heard Jessica 6's anthemic "Prisoner Of Love" for the very first time and instantly fell for it. We now finally have the official video for the song featuring Antony Hegarty himself. As I mentioned it before 2011 really belongs to Miss Nomi Ruiz in my books, additionally to all other collaborations and projects she's been ultra-busy with, she has also graced Beni's track "Sway" with her sensual vocals and gave the album the strongest tune in the whole set. Wonderful!

SHREM'S INSTITUTE OF LOST CLASSICS: "MADEMOISELLE" - Hypnolove + Jolie Chérie's "VOULEZ-VOUS MIXER" dj set

French electro spectaculaire! What an explosion of lost classics, underground anthems, cult classics and guilty pleasures all made in France. First up Hypnolove's timeless "Mademoiselle", also included along with Messieurs Tellier et Gainsbourg, Yelle + more on Jolie Chérie's phenomenal mix exclusively put together for WADmag. French Disko Galore.

P.S. Jolie Chérie were a bit too modest not to include any of their own gems or mixes, here's a reminder then so...

CHOON OF THE DAY: "KILL FOR LOVE" - The Chromatics

Apart from being super-busy preparing Glass Candy's most anticipated brand new LP, ITALIANS DO IT BETTER - one of my most favourite Record Labels out there, has also revealed some spellbinding plans coming from the Chromatics camp. As they stated on their blog: "Chromatics' new album 'Kill For Love' is finished and will be out in January! Between now & then, we'll be leaking videos and singles from it." Johnny Jewel truly is such an inspirational producer. Letąs hope they will finally get a well deserved wider recognition now that the hugely popular soundtrack to DRIVE includes tracks by Desire and The Chromatics themselves.

CHOON OF THE DAY: "SUNFLARE" - Moullinex

Luis Gomes, Portuguese producer also known as Moullinex, was responsible for one of this year's most memorable remixes for Kamp!'s "Cairo". One of GOMMA's brightest stars is coming back now with their brand new track "Sunflare".

SHREM'S FUTURE ANTHEMS: "DROP ME A LINE" - Midnight Magic + Mano Le Tough Remix

Exactly how much goodness, how much flavour and how much grooviness is in this juicy track by Midnight Magic. I am becoming quite addicted to Miss Tiffany Roth's ultra-unique vocals too. I said it already when they released their sensational EP a couple of months ago but I'll say it again: THE BEST NU-DISCO IN TOWN!

SHREM'S CLUB BIZARRE INTRODUCING "IT'S LOVER, LOVE" by Aérea Negrot

The sensational Aérea Negrot, Venezuelan underground disco queen who graced Hercules & Love Affair's latest album with her out of this world vocals, has just released one of this year's most intriguing and least predictable albums. "Arabxilla" is a truly inspiring mish-mash of styles, genres, languages, fascinating and always surprising patterns of Negrot's voice with a pinch of charming cacophony... Really one of a kind. File under: UNIQUE.

CHOON OF THE DAY: "WEEKEND" - Class Actress

Really catchy new single by Elizabeth Harper aka Class Actress. Soundcloud is full of official and non-official remixes of the song. Must be everyone's favourite...

SHREM'S FUTURE ANTHEMS: "VOODOO LOVE" - Jadoo feat. Hard Ton

The-ever-so-present-on-the-current-dance-scene Signor Hard Ton aka Dis-Grace Jones returns with yet another superb underground italo disco production. This time he teams up with Jadoo on a single as delicious as his previous collaboration with Ajello and one of this year's number one club classics "Chocolate Black Leather". What a fabulous track, I can sense a brand new dance craze just around the corner! Put your hands up in the year everybody!!!

P.S. If somehow you haven't noticed me praising Hard Ton like mad in the recent months, here's a re-cap of all posts dedicated to him so far...

Still in a summery mood. This piece of soulful house puts a smile on my face every single time. Joey Negro's remix is ace as always!

SHREM'S INSTITUTE OF LOST CLASSICS: "LOVE IN INDIGO" - Escort

One of the greatest disco records from the post-disco era. It's hard to believe this single was out in 2006. The 17-piece Escort, "Brooklyn's finest disco orchestra", have announced their plans to release their debut full lenght album after a stream of sensational 12" records like "All Through The Night" or "Cocaine Blues ".This song though, stands next to Sylvester's "Do Ya Wanna Funk?" and Chic's "Everybody Dance" among my all time favourite disco records. Epic tune!!!

SHREM'S FUTURE ANTHEMS: "TEMPERATURE RISING" - Brenmar

Digging out early 90's VHS quality clips from some obscure TV Dance shows suddenly seems like the freshest idea for a music video this year! The trend started with Hercules & Love Affair's "My House". Really liking this urban flavoured club vibe, this could go sinfully good back 2 back with Omar's "Dancing". Taste this juicy piece of UK Garage made in US and contemplate what a fabulous year for dance music 2011 has been already...

SHREM'S INSTITUTE OF LOST CLASSICS: "2 WICKY" + "INHALER" - Hooverphonic

I cam back to Hooverphonic's debut album recently and re-fell in love with it. Initially named Hoover and fronted by their first vocalist Liesje Sadonius, they were the Belgian answer to the omnipresent European movement of trip hop bands with female singers. Can't quite grasp the idea of this (not so) new stereophonic sound spectacular being 15 years old already...

SHREM'S DOUBLE TROUBLE: "NUMBERS" - New Look /// "HONEY MINE" - Korallreven feat. Victoria Bergsman + Lissvik Remix

So I have Sarah Rubo and Adam Pavao aka New Look, latest music sensation from Canada and Swedish Pop Dreamers from Korallreven, for you today. Somehow there is a bridge between their Scandinavian take on lush Balearic sounds and New Look's pristine, minimal and instantly beguiling approach to synth-pop. New Look's debut album promoting single "Nap on the Bow" is my top most listen track this week.

SHREM'S CLUB BIZARRE INTRODUCING "VOICES" + "LOVE OR MUSIC" by Soft Metals

Welcome to my club bizarre once again, please make yourselves comfortable and sample this piece of "synth-pop-macabre" made by the enigmatic Soft Metals... If you're into dark electro and 1980's synthesisers you will most probably fall for their self-titled debut album.

CHOONS OF THE DAY: "SHUFFLE A DREAM" + "RITUAL UNION" [Live @ Later with Jools Holland] - Little Dragon

Oh I excited I am to see Miss Yukimi Nagano and her Little Dragon crew live in Dublin in November! Their 3rd album has just proven their solid position among the most original music acts in Europe of the past few years. Those talented Swedes just never disappoint... P.S. Yukimi Nagano = my girl crush of 2011 with no doubt!
